Creator of such hits as "Yellow Hair and the Fortress of Gold" and "Butterfly", which starred the late, great Orson Welles, director Matt Cimber may still be most famous for his shocking 1976 horror picture "The Witch who Came From the Sea", which remains banned in the UK as one of the "video nasties" (taking its place in a list that, at the time, housed such notorious flicks as "Faces of Death" and "House on the Edge of the Park"). Cimber is a unique talent - capable of creating fantastical lands or situations on a small budget, and proven himself - during his varied career - as a filmmaker of considerable technical merit. Fearless Tales is proud to have Mr Cimber in attendance, following the DVD release of "Witch" (courtesy of Subversive films), the director has opted for a digitally remastered screening of his classic (which was photographed by Oscar winning cinematographer Dean Cundy) and will also present his 1983 epic "Hundra", another rare treat.
