The Curse of El Charro is now out on DVD, released by Paramount/Showtime. If you didn't get to see it at Fearless Tales 2 now’s your chance to see it in the comfy safety of your own home. This was one of my favorite film that we premiered that year. Go down to Blockbuster (come on you know you rent there) and add it to our stack of Holloween movies to watch. Or better yet head over to Best Buy or Amazon and grab a copy or two. Rich Ragsdale is a great guy and a filmmaker to keep an eye on and this is a fun film for the Holloween season. Here's what Fangoria has to say about The Curse of El Charro: With rich production design that includes a bevy of surreal setpieces and an inspired silent-film segment, EL CHARRO is the story of a young woman plagued by nightmares following her sister’s mysterious suicide. She tries to distract herself by taking a road trip through the desert with some bitchy college mates, who somehow transcend their cattiness to emerge as surprisingly likable characters. The Curse of El Charro took Best Production Design at Fearless Tales Genre Fest 2( Production Designer: Ryan Cooper). |
