Ok I have to apologies to some friends. I was supposed to have this up long ago. Unfortunately, there are many projects in the works and very few hours in the day. So John and Miguel I apologies for the delays.

One of the cool things about running this site is getting to meet a lot of people I grew up watching. One of those is Fearless Tales fried John Stanley. Here in the bay area John is something of an icon who followed Bob Wilkins as the host of the late night horror show Creature Features. John just released his new book I WAS A TV HORROR HOST. Read on for more about this from John.

Michael:
Wanted you to be among the very first to know that I WAS A TV HORROR HOST will be available February 24, 2007. It is my 556-photo, 210-page book about the world of horror hosting and includes histories and photos galore of the famous Bob Wilkins and myself in an 8 x 11 format. It will sell only through me, not in retail book stores, for $25 plus $3 postage and handling. It is the definitive book for any Creature Features fan with the whole story of how the San Francisco-Bay Area Saturday night horror series (1971-1984) got started and how Bob and I differed in our handling of the monster-less role.

It also has my exclusive interviews with ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER (putting the make on a beautiful cocktail waitress), LEONARD NIMOY (I was one of the first to meet him and GENE RODDENBERRY before STAR TREK premiered), WILLIAM SHATNER, VINCENT PRICE (one encounter included Coral Browne hanging on Price's arm), THE "FACELESS" STAR WARS CHARACTERS, RAY BRADBURY, ROBERT BLOCH, LUCILLE BALL (without her, no STAR TREK), GEORGE ROMERO (he of the WALKING DEAD), ELVIRA, GHOULARDI, ZACHERLEY, JOE BOB BRIGGS, SARA KARLOFF, WILLIAM CASTLE, RAY HARRYHAUSEN AND MANY OTHER HORROR SCI-FI ICONS OF THE PAST CENTURY. MANY PHOTOS ARE EXCLUSIVES TAKEN ON THE C.F. SET. IF YOU ORDER NOW, YOU WILL BE AMONG THE FIRST. And don't forget that March 23 will be Bob Wilkins Day in Oakland, as proclaimed by Mayor Ron Dellums. -- JOHN STANLEY, 1082 GRAND TETON DRIVE, PACIFICA, CA 94044
